OPERATION RECYCLE (US & Canada only) The recycling program collects cell phones and have them recycled. This helps in a small way because it may reduce the need for new phones. The more used phones we get back into circulation the better it will be for the environment. The recycle company also contributes to Friends of the Congo as a result of the phones being collected. The process is really simple. If you are in the United States, send us a mailing address via email at

, where we can send you a recycle box and once it is filled, you call fedex to pick it up at no cost to you.
If you are in Canada, shipment for your collected cell phones, PDAs, and pagers is paid by CollectiveGood Canada Inc. Usually we wait until you have 20 phones to be cost effective or have finished your project before sending out a label. Prepaid shipping labels are valid for 10 days only, so they need to be sent "just in time". When you are ready to ship, you or your collector will contact us for a label which will be sent by email. Print and affix the label on the box and call UPS at 1-800-PICKUPS (1-800-742-5877) to schedule a pick up.
Be assured that no donation will go to landfill either in Canada, the US or elsewhere. Units that can be reused are refurbished and sold. Units which cannot be reused are sent to an "end of life" electronic recycler (operated by a large Canadian mining conglomerate) who reclaim the metal content for reuse. We are seeking individuals who are willing to participate in sending cyber protest emails and recruiting others to participate in our cyber protests. In essence, we are seeking online demonstrators to match our actions on the ground. Join our cyber protest squad now. THE CELL OUT Participate in the great Cell Out and educate your friends, family and loved ones about the connection between Congo's resources and modern technology such as your cell phone.
